Blackjack at Rival Gaming powered casinos have an issue currently
about whether or not the casino owners can adjust the payouts of the
games.
This was discovered when a player complained publicly
about only getting paid even money on his blackjack games. Soon it was
also disclosed that the same casino, in the same game (blackjack), that
although the rules said you could double down, the game in fact would
not allow it.
The biggest worry is the slot games because they are
not going to be noticed by anybody but the victims, if they are not
paying back at a correct rate because of the way that slot machines work
in comparison to say a game of blackjack.
The games will continue to be fair, so the only way a
casino can effect the game is by changing the amount of money it pays
out on any particular win.
For instance as noted above where blackjack was
paying back at even money when it should pay back $1.50 on ever $1
wagered.
These are extra advantages to the house. The concern
is that some of the casinos may drastically alter the games such as
noted above, for a period of time, and nobody would know about it except
of course those people who went in and got just wiped out.
I confess I have had times like that but I have
always contributed those instances to the way my luck runs because it
does tend to either be a sharp slide down the slope ... or else I can
not do anything wrong.
Now of course I am left wondering when I have
experienced those times at a Rival powered casino if it wasn't due to
something more than my bad luck.
Update: Okay it is told to us guides that only the
blackjack game can be altered by a casino and that is because it is
there choice if they don't want to pay out anything more than even money
on certain games.
