The Win Lose Cycle
Lose a little, win a little back, lose a
little more, win some more back, it goes on and on with the only difference
being that each time the money is returned to your side of the table, there is
slightly less than what you sent the turn before.
In a perfect world, that is exactly what
the slot machine is designed to do, is to take such small amounts at any one
time that is not even felt because the risk-reward ratio is very attractive and
masks the pin-prick which is of course the cost of each spin of the slots.
If you notice there really exists a
cycle where you'll lose a little, then catch a win which returns about fifteen
credits on a three credit wager. Then you'll go for a while on that and then
catch another such small win. etc.
So what i began doing was anticipating
when I felt that win was coming and began to adjust my wagering amounts based on
my predictions of where the cycle was likely to happen to be at a point to my
advantage.
This is almost a game within a game. It
should be noted in case there is any misunderstanding, that this is not a way to
beat the casino.
If nothing else however, it certainly made the
games more interesting.
