Facts (or as best
I can tell) of interest about those who patron this site
My approach about gambling remains that you don't get something for nothing so
if you don't want to have your money tied up in some bonus play-thru
requirements or otherwise type of catch22, scheme, trick or perhaps some would
use the word con but in truth even the worst of the bonus schemes ... have the
terms and conditions for accepting the bonus made available for everyone to see
... though it is true that some places make you dig and visit several links to
finally get down to the important details which will be the ones that ultimately
ruin your big day.
Not all bonuses are bad because if they come from reputable casinos then they
will be honored as the terms and conditions are met for accepting the bonus but
it should be noted that all bonuses do come with strings attached so read ALL
the T&Cs.
Some of the more outrageous bonus offers are done that way by very legitimate
casinos because on line, on the internet, it has become a very accepted way of
life in gambling circles that as long as they make the terms easily available to
read ... then "Caveat Emptor" (I think that's spelled right) which is the
more interesting way of saying "buyer beware" but in these instances the player
should understand going in ... that nowadays with this being an accepted way of
life in the gambling industry, that it is very likely to encounter outrageous
bonus offers which are at very legitimate casinos.
The way it is viewed is that they make these offers available because of the
same reason you or I would trade a 5 for a 10 back in a couple of days time:
because we found somebody who thought that was a worthwhile trade. Now please
know with that said: it lends credibility to Mr Barnum's theory that there's a
sucker born every minute.
So in other words if you are willing to agree to it ... they'll give you almost
infinite credits in trade for your real money ... but you must meet the
requirements of the agreement you made which you can figure that the bigger or
better it looks to you ... the catch is going to be that you've got to gamble a
ton of times before you can even think of cashing out which translates to
walking into a deal where the house always has the edge and then on top of that
in trade for a little more time of playing their games ... you're giving them an
even better edge than normal. And its all fair because you know before hand just
as I am telling you now.
The bonus has become much more than just an attraction for new players to try
out the casino.
The casino bonus of the on line nature has taken on a life of its own and the
results of where this phenomenon has taken us is quite interesting. It started
out as a promotional tool to gather the interest of gamblers and the early
bonuses usually promised a small amount of money which the player could gamble
for real stakes without their having to risk any money of their own and those
lucky enough to win would get paid like anybody else. However as with anything
that is tied into having to do with money and free it doesn't take long before
somebody figures out a way to take advantage of a good thing and basically ruin
it for everybody else.
Oddly enough however the casino bonus did not disappear but survived and thrived
even though it is best described using the words money and free, and that
combination will never be one where not far behind is the ugly team of fraud and
abuse although some sugar coat it and call themselves advantage players. They
are correct in that instance but where they fail is that the casino does not
consider them to be a player of any kind but rather a parasitic entity which
they must endure as the current cost of doing business. The casino clearly
stated in their terms that they were giving this small amount of money away free
to people who were of age, where legal to do so and had a serious interest in
gambling. Of course the casinos did not want freeloaders, or if preferred then
call them advantage players.
What they really are is anything but players and the real deal gamblers who are
savvy to these matters do not find advantage players in the least bit amusing.
Real fans of gambling are the ones who lose out the most when the advantage
players made their selves known because it forced the casinos to create terms
and conditions that must be accepted in order to get the special offer the
casino is providing to the public which are much tougher and now very well
thought out.
Since then it didn't take long for what started out to be an act of preservation
and understandable acceptance by the players to also get taken advantage this
time by unscrupulous casino owners who realized that since it was a small amount
of money they were giving out the casino could place about any kind of terms to
the bonus offer and people accepted the deal because they figured it was such a
small amount of money that they would probably lose it all quickly anyway so
they didn't care if the terms were outrageously unfair to the notion of ever
actually being able to withdraw any funds but these online casinos are providing
games that are completely legitimate meaning there are going to be winners which
at times will be big money winners. The best way to counter having to pay out on
the times the odds don't favor the casino is by having that money tied up into
some sort of scheme where the money is run through the gauntlet over and over
until the amount which actually leaves the casino's doors is considerably less
than would have been otherwise. This then morphed into a twisted promise of
paradise at the price of far lesser places and the bigger the boast almost
always meant the further the distance required to travel before the gambler
could actually get their hands on the money and truly be able to proclaim they'd
held in their hands more now than they did before entering into the
entertainment and obvious financial risk which is what makes up the world of
online gambling.
